Are You Hot, Cold, or Lukewarm

Revelation 3:15-16
By: Lauren White

"I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, I will vomit you out of my mouth.”

How do we become hot, cold, or lukewarm? We become hot by dying to ourselves or becoming closer and going deeper into him. We are cold when we drift away or don’t even try knowing him. And being lukewarm means you’re not getting closer and you’re not drifting. But it says “Because you are lukewarm, I will vomit you out of my mouth.” Vomiting is something that no one likes. But God says he will if you are lukewarm. He wants to give someone else the chance to live for him.

How do we become lukewarm? Distractions, television, computer, having cell phones. Those are just a couple of things to mention, but I could have a whole page of them. They are all around us and the only way not to become lukewarm is to die to yourself and live for Him. Stand out in the Crowd. It doesn’t matter if people think you are too religious for them. At least you believe in God, and not in an organized religion.
